I have long believed that social networking and other Web 2.0 technologies are under-utilized by the medical industry. Patients have long desired a personal relationship with their doctor and social media, in the right context, can help doctors make that connection with the opportunity for better health!Robert B. Dr. Jain says, "whether publicly available performance evaluations will actually result in better care and service for patients or just more bureaucracy and wasted energy remains to be seen."

Physician sites notwithstanding, there is a strong incentive for medical offices to embrace social media and everything Web2.0 has to offer.

Thanks
Brandon (aka PediatricIncAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18425333144820235642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7790905941336387585.post-75554858417111026982009-10-21T15:09:49.937-04:002009-10-21T15:09:49.937-04:00Very well stated. Not all have the staff that resembles their qualities. When I've made reccomendations to friends and family, it's to the doctor's office with the total package--great standard of care matched by great staff. Patients are looking for a pleasant experience from the front desk to the treatment room and back to check out. I've seen "good docs" with poor patient retention due to poor choices in staffing. Unfortunate.Comprehensive Aesthetic Traininghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18296199696113393876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7790905941336387585.post-28428158239266323482009-05-27T12:45:57.619-04:002009-05-27T12:45:57.619-04:00Hey Kim, Thanks for the comment.
